But for now, we'll enjoy the simple moments we do get with the people that matter the most. I think life is pretty simple when you break it down. It's amazing how much you learn as you grow older and how much more you value the little things like a kiss from your daughter, or when she shares her blanket with you. No more rushing for me, I think that was the biggest realization I have faced these last couple of months. Life is what you make of it, so make it good.

Fairs and Goodbyes
This past week has been a busy week for us. Our friends are packed up and ready to move to Texas which is a very sad moment for me and the offspring. We've both been busy with school and I have been adjusting to working full-time and going to school. So if you're wondering where I've been and why I haven't been here, it's simply because I have been having a breakdown in the corner like "Gimmy" from United States of Tara - if you haven't seen that show - channel inner beast meets the outer world. The good news is I hear things get easier...I'll believe it when I see it though.

Daily Makeup Routine
I get asked sometimes, especially on my Instagram what my daily make up routine entails. What people really don't realize is my "daily" routine is actually once in a blue moon when I actually feel like not looking homeless. But that's okay, I'll do my Daily, non-daily, Routine, and save my "Homeless" make up post for a rainy day (said no one ever). Point being, people are curious about my facial region and the shit I put on it. And as that one scripture in the bible said, "Ask and thou shall receive."
I know I said I would save my awful before for another day but I decide to share with you anyways, just so you all can have bad dreams about my face for weeks to come. You're so welcome.
Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder($7), Benefit Stay Don't Stray($26), Benefit The POREFessional($30), Benefit Playstick($34), Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen($34), Benefit Brow Zings($30), Benefit Cabana Glama($36 $19), Eyecko London Liquid Eyeliner($15), Revlon Custom Eyes($8), Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick($8)
That seems like a lot of make-up, but I promise it isn't. I just have awful bags because I never sleep that I try to cover up! It's honestly a pretty basic method.
- Step 1: Clean and Clear Finish, which features 15 SPF - an entirely too important thing to use on your face! It moisturizes my face while preventing me from looking like an oil spill.
- Step 2: Stay Don't Stray by Benefit - This is an eyeshadow primer but I use it for a foundation around my eyeballs primer too.
- Step 3: PlayStick by Benefit - I put this around my eyeballs, after the whole primer step. (I'm really bad at using girly descriptive terms here)
- Step 4: Hello Flawless Oxygen by Benefit - I touch up any weird spots on my face like huge pimples or random uneven skin colors.
- Step 5: Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder - I use this to make my face less gross...it's kind of out of order for me to "finish" before blush but I like the results better.
- Step 6: Cabana Glama by Benefit - The kit includes a lot of stuff including eyeshadow, blush, lip tint, and foundation. I don't use the foundation in the kit, but I use everything else. During this step, I also put on my eyeliner which is made by Eyecko London, it's a liquid pen and I love it. I have it in black and Olive, I use them both at the same time.
- Step 7: Revlon Custom Eyes - this has it's own step, because I will sit around and keep putting mascara on like a weirdo for a good 3-4 minutes until it's perfecto!
- Step 8: Posie Tint Lip Stainer, Revlon Super Lustrous in "Siren", and Jouer Gloss in "Birchbox Pink" for lips, yeah I know, how many things can I put on my lips, but really this is an important thing guys. Lips and eyebrows really pull your "look" together.
- Step 9: Benefit's Brow Zing - I make my eyebrows fabulous using this kit (minus the plucking, I didn't do that so I have caterpillar eye brows for y'all)
I know I said I would save my awful before for another day but I decide to share with you anyways, just so you all can have bad dreams about my face for weeks to come. You're so welcome.
